What is art
and do we need it?

The concept of the art is…project is about PARTICIPATION.
Our world is more and more determined by mass media, international brands with
their respective status symbols, world market and globalization. All this tends
to equalize the individual as well as whole cultures and is menacing traditional
values.
Personal creativity and art are a possibility to escape from that process.
Through participating in the “art is…project” with their ideas about art
everybody is given a moment of personal creativity. With their portrait they
show that they stand for their opinion. Internationally, beyond any social or
religious borders they become part of an art work.
แนวคิดของงาน “ศิลปะคือ……” โครงการที่เกี่ยวข้องกับ การมีส่วนร่วม
โลกของเราถูกครอบงำมากขึ้นเรื่อยๆโดยสื่อมวลชน สินค้าแบรนด์ดังนานาชาติกับสัญญาลักษ์เครื่องหมายการค้าเหล่านั้น ตลาดโลกและโลกาภิวัตน์ สิ่งเหล่านี้มีแนวโน้มที่จะทำให้สมดุลย์สภาพของปัจเจกรวมทั้งวัฒนธรรมโดยรวมเกิดความน่ากลัวที่จะทำให้จารีตประเพณีลดคุณค่าลง
ความคิดสร้างสรรค์ของปัจเจกบุคคลและศิลปะนั้นแหละที่จะช่วยให้หลีกเลี่ยงจากวิกฤตินี้ได้
การเข้ามามีส่วนร่วมใน โครงการ “ศิลปะคือ…..” ด้วยการแสดงความคิดเห็นเกียวกับศิลปะที่ทุกคนได้แสดงออกมานั้น นั่นแหละเป็นช่วงการแสดงออกซึ่งความคิดสร้างสรรค์ส่วนบุคคล รวมทั้งรูปถ่ายภาพเหมือนของบุคคลนั่นก็เป็นการแสดงจุดยืนในความคิดของตนเอง และโครงการนี้เป็นโครงการระดับสากลที่เหนือขอบเขตเงื่อนใขทางสังคมหรือศาสนา บุคคลเหล่านั้นจึงเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของผลงานศิลปะ
